SCRAMBLER ICON, GETTING BIGGER AND BIGGER IN ARGENTINA

Ducati announces an agreement with Volkswagen Group Argentina for the CKD assembly of Ducati motorbikes to be distributed in the local Argentinean market. At the Córdoba Industrial Centre, production will start by the end of 2022 thanks to a major investment, making the VW plant the third factory in the world outside Italy for Ducati.

The business relationship between Ducati and Volkswagen Group Argentina began in 2013, after Audi AG bought the Italian global motorbike manufacturer in 2012. Ducati has a very good recognition in the Argentinean high-performance motorbike market, having achieved excellent results in terms of market penetration. Ducati currently has seven exclusive dealerships in Argentina, which sell the full range of Ducati and Scrambler Ducati motorbikes. Each dealer offers an integrated service and a showroom area where the bikes are displayed, with an exclusive space dedicated to the “Land of Joy” and Ducati Scrambler products.

The first model to be assembled at the Córdoba Industrial Centre will be the Scrambler Ducati Icon. The Ducati Scrambler range has become the most appreciated in the Argentinean market, after its first local presentation in 2016. Its urban-inspired motorbikes, designed under the post-heritage concept, invite customisation and self-expression, offering total versatility in their use, while maintaining the performance and equipment characteristic of each Ducati brand product.
